Similar to their larger counterparts, the small-capacity once-through boilers of the onetube type have some advantages, but also serious shortcomings. Due to their small accumulation ability, there are difficulties with the load control (fuel firing rates), with the special poblem being the adjustment of combustion and feed-water supply control. In this work, the genesis of specified once-through boiler problem is presented, followed by a detailed analysis and estimation of influence of the above mentioned phenomena on the functional characteristics of this type of steam generators in industrial exploitation. Methodological concept of solution is suggested.
