Wastewater is any water of poor quality which is caused by an anthropogenic influence. In industry, water is used as a solvent, for cooling, cleaning, washing and transport. For a chocolate factory, separators for purification of wastewater from plant, rain and parking lot are necessary. Wastewater from plant includes chocolate, cream and filling mass scrap. Percentage rate of fat in this remains is around 30-35%. We are talking about plant fat, oils, cocoa butter and cocoa mass. Sugar is represented between 40-45% in this scrap mass. The overall amount of wastewater in confectionary factory, for which purification is required, is about 4 l/s. The origins of wastewaters mainly come from production line clean-up, and include, sugar, fat and flour. The suggested wastewater treatment at the plant is by using oil separators. By installing these separators at the end of every production line, the desired effect can be reached. Despite the huge amounts of wastewaters, this problem is solved by choosing a separator of appropriate capacity.
