This paper gives an overview of Great and Small War Island fauna, which is not as rich in species, except ornithofauna which is the region most important in number and diversity. Isolation of the island makes impossible for settling a large number of mammals. Present are mostly species that are following human (rat, mouse, fox, skunk), which are supposed to have arrived together with people. During low water, some were able to swim across the river and to settle in the island. Hunting organizations are repeatedly brought into rabbits, which are held in small numbers throughout the area of the island, but the conditions for them are poorly. Problem on the island are abandoned domestic animals, dogs and cats, as well as breeding of domestic animals in addition to temporary weekend structures.
