Comparison of housing types and soybean oil supplementation levels on productivity and egg quality parameters of layers

The experiment was conducted to evaluate the effects of either housing types, mechanical ventilation and natural ventilation or soybean oil supplementation at 1 and 3% levels for layers. The experiment was designed in 2 x 2 factorial arrangements and conducted for three months. One hundred and forty 43-weeks laying old Isa Brown were assigned to four treatments. Layers kept in mechanical ventilation significantly increased (P0.01) egg production (93%) compared with that of natural ventilation cage (76.76%).
