Fruit storage of plum's cultivar Katinka
2010
Pakeza Drkenda
The fruits of plum cultivar Katinka were taken from plantage with IP system of production. Experiment was realised during two years (1999. and 2000.). The fruits were storaged in the storage with normal atmosphere (on the temperature of 0ºC and relative air-humidity of 95%). The changes of fruit's quality were followed depending on the length of storage and measuring were done before storeging, after two, six and twelve days. It was tasted mass and firmness of fruit as well as the chemical composition of fruits (entirely dissolving dry substance and acid content). Experiment showed that mass of fruit and content of dry substance only depended on the year (climatic and cultivation conditions). The fruits from year ‘99 were bigger (27.6 g) then fruits from year '00 (24.34 g), while the relation between years was opposed regarding the content of dry substance. The fruits from year 2000 had significant more dry substance /14.3º Brix) in relation with fruits from ear 1999. On firmness and acid content the significant influence had year and time past during the storage. The fruits from year 2000 were firmner then fruits from year 1999. The firmness of fruits had linear decreasing in line with time passed during the storage. The fruits from year 1999 had more acid content then fruits form 2000 (5.84: 5.64 g/l). Average acid content in fruits kept 12 days was significant lower then in fruits before storage.
