Uticaj opterećenja čokota rodnim okcima na prinos i kvalitet grožđa sorte smederevka u području Stoca

A two-year trial (2008 and 2009) was carried out in the commercial vineyard Crnici, in the vicinity of Stolac, in order to investigate the influence of different bud load levels (20, 28 and 32 buds per vine) on yield and grape quality of cv. Smederevka. Pruning was done in mid-February in both years. Depending on variants of bud loading, short and mixed pruning techniques were applied. Timed observation of the key phenological stages has shown that phenological growth was not greatly affected by different bud loads. Increase in bud loads caused a fertility increase of cultivar (based upon the number of developed shoots, fertility coefficient, number of bunches per vine, grape yield per vine and per hectare). The sugar and acid contents of the must have shown to be dependent upon different bud loads. The variant with the lowest bud load resulted in the highest must sugar content. An increase in bud number decreased the must sugar content and increased the must acid content, and it is suggested that these were caused by increased yield per vine.
