Apricot generally formed a lot of flowers, but the percentage of the fruit set depends on many factors. The number of plants obtained from a parental combination is of particular importance to the breeding process, because it is known that not all seeds germinate after stratification in moist sand. It is important to evaluate the fertility of selected parental combinations in order to establish a precise plan. In it is necessary to provide the minimum number of flowers that should be pollinated to fulfill effective combination. In the study is presented evaluation of fertility of 20 parental combinations with involving of 12 apricot cultivars conducted in the period 2009-2011. 9653 flowers were pollinated and 1661 hybrid seeds were obtained, that mean 17.2% average fruit set for all combinations. The analysis of the results showed that the largest number of hybrid seeds were obtained when as mother parent are selected cultivars 'Krupna skopiyanka', 'Harleyne', 'Modesto' and 'Lito' and as a father parent – 'Stark Early Orange', 'Harcot' and 'Harleyne' The last three can be recommended and as pollinators in the apricot orchards.
