Efficiency of postemergence herbicides on seed crops of perennial grasses | Эффективность послевсходовых гербицидов на семенных посевах многолетних злаковых трав

In course of the research there was studied the efficiency of postemergence herbicides Agritox, Lontrel, Granstar, Gusar and tank mixtures Gusar + Agritox, Lontrel + Agritox on seed crops of four species of perennial grasses based on the results of three-year study in 2006-2008 in the conditions of the Republic of Belarus. The research was realized on sod-podzolic cohesive sandy loam soil. Capacity of arable horizon was 20 cm, the agrochemical indicators of arable horizon were: humus content – 2.01 – 2.15%, pHKCl – 5.9, mobile forms of P2O5 – 199 - 232 mg/kg, K2O – 201 – 254 mg/kg of soil. The research objects were Balin variety of kentucky bluegrass (Poa pratensis L.), Uskhodnij variety of awnless brome (Bromopsis inermis), and Izorskij variety of annual ryegrass (Lolium multiflorum L.). In weed control Gusar, tank mixture Gusar + Agritox were the most effective preparations in all the studied species of perennial grasses, except meadow grass due to the significant suppression of its growth processes. In the variants with Gusar usage weed destruction was 88.4-93.7%. Application of postemergence herbicides increases seed yield of perennial grasses by 4.9-47.0%.
