In course of the research there was studied the influence of Sudan grass (Sorghum sudanense) sowing rates on dry matter yield depending on harvest time of green material. The research was realized in the conditions of the Republic of Belarus in Brest Regional Agricultural Experimental Station of the National Academy of Sciences (Belarus) in 2002-2004 on sod-podzolic loose sandy loam soil, underlain with loose sand. The agrochemical indicators of arable horizon were the following: humus content - 1.9-2.0%, pH - 6.2, P2O5 - 180-230 mg/kg, K2O - 160-200 mg/kg of soil. Meteorological conditions during the research were various enough not only on a temperature mode, but also by quantity of the dropped out rainfall. As a result of realized research it was revealed that sowing rate equaled to 2.5-3.0 mln. of germinable seeds per hectare (what corresponds to 40-50 kg/ha) provided maximum dry matter yield at harvesting in the phase of the beginning of paniculation. The average value made up 86.6-90.0 c/ha with the cost price of equaled to 2.5 conventional units per hectare. This made it possible pure income amounted to 271-281.3 conventional units per hectare.
