The agriculture has a complex anthropogenic effect on the geological environment, but different type impacts exerted on the same lithofacies complex may have diverse consequences. Therefore, the complex effect is subdivided into separate components according to their genesis to make their comprehensive analysis and estimation. From the authors' opinion, soil ploughing has an adverse effect on the geological environment with the most negative consequences shown in the soil destruction. The whole complex of erosion processes inevitably becomes more severe. In such a situation, measures for efficient management of territories with due account for the composition, proportion, distribution and transformation of agricultural lands are gaining in importance. The intensity of the anthropogenic load on the geological environment was determined by a ratio of the area of arable lands to the total area a district chosen by the authors as the main criterion. To estimate the erodible resistance of soils an integral index of the soil cohesion was used. Of all the geological-genetic complexes of deposits occurring within the Gomel region, cohesive soils (sandy loam, loam) of the Dnieper moraine show the highest values of the integral index. Covering deposits of appropriate types are characterized by the lower integral index values. In cohesive soils showing mixed type contacts under the natural surface washing conditions, coagulation and structural bonds of the transition type are of primary importance. The mechanical action upon soils causes irreversible destruction of phase contacts. As the result the integral index drops sharply leading to the more severe erosion evidences. The similar deflation resistance is peculiar to sands of definite size and of various geneses, all the other factors being equal. This allowed the authors to combine these formations into a single group.
