In the conditions of the Republic of Belarus there were presented the results of research of yielding capacity of legume-grass mixtures with white sweet clover (Melilotus albus Desr) of different seeding rates. It was found out that if there were at least 30-35% of clover in structure of improved herbage, additional sowing could be considered successful. In course of the study there was analyzed influence of additional sowing white sweet clover on botanical composition of grass stands; yielding capacity of cereal and leguminous and cereal grass mixtures with addition of white sweet clover. Yield increased in 1.5 times, in herbage composition there was an increased number of bean components which did not require application of nitrogen fertilizers. The most productive were mixtures with white sweet clover with a seeding rate of 8-10 kg/ha, where the yields of an absolutely dry matter, feed units and digestible protein were respectively 70.0; 60.0; 6.2 and 71.0; 62.0; 6.5 centner/ha.
