In course of the research in the conditions of the Republic of Belarus there were considered methodical approaches to land typology of the Polesye region, taking into account the degree of deflation risk of soils. Determination of soil and ecological micro zoning and defining of soil types was realized by the example of a farm 'Novoe Polesye' of Luninets district (Belarus). As a result of realized research it was revealed that the big heterogeneity of soil cover, typical for the Belarusian Polesye, defined the expediency and necessity of carrying out on its territory of soil-ecological microdivision into regions and typology of lands. Typology of soil cover was essential step to agro-industrial interpretation of land resources. The land types allocated on the basis of the dominating soil mesocombination, made it possible to differentiate soil-ecological microdistricts in accordance with the character of their functional use. The quantity of land types depended on features of natural basis and did not always correlate with heterogeneity of soil cover. Materials of land typology along with soil-ecological microdivision into districts directly met the requirements of the regional and local placing and agricultural production specialization, being a basis of landscape-adaptive agriculture. These materials also met the requirements of forestry, preservation of natural and recreational values.
