In the conditions of the Republic of Belarus there was presented characteristic of feeding of larvae and underyearlings of bred and non-bred young fish of black carp (Mylopharyngodon piceus Rich). There was given a characteristic of conditions (temperature, hydrochemical, and hydrobiological) created in the breeding period of larvae and underyearlings. Research results showed that at early breeding stages of black carp till 1,5 grams zooplankton was the main feeding source. Transition to benthic animals and plants diets took place at the stage of body weight of 1,5 grams. After underyearlings weight of more than 6,0 grams the feeding diets were represented by small and middle mollusks, i.e. feed resources typical for black carp species. Black carp with the minimal weight of 6,0 g can be used as meliorator for clearing ponds. Fingerlings had to eat detritus because of absence of bottom dwellers in the pond. If there was high-protein combined feeding, the fingerlings of black carp could use it in their diets.
