Dynamics of the structure of coastal communities of young fish in the Dnieper and Prypyat rivers was investigated in the conditions of the Republic of Belarus. There was analyzed typical structure (number, biomass) of young fishes catching in the coastal fleet water in the Prypyat and Dnieper in 2007-2009 and in 1979 and 1986 correspondingly. There were determined coefficients of typical similarities of fish population in experimental areas of the Prypyat and Dnieper. Aggregate coefficient of changes of young fish number was established in fleet water of the rivers during last 20-30 years. Research results showed that there was tendency of increasing of indexes of fish number, water and biomass from lower reach to upper areas of the Dnieper. The same indexes had the maximum value in low district and minimum value in upper area of Prypyat. There were changes of structure of young fish in the middle district of the Prypyat during last 20-30 years. Human intervention did not destroy common concept of river continuum.
