In course of the research there was studied the improvement of the technology о f winter triticale (Triticosecale) cultivation in the conditions of the Republic of Belarus. The main research was conducted in 2008-2010 in agricultural production cooperative 'Progress-Vertilishki' in Grodno region on sod-podzolic light loamy soil, developing on water-glacial loams, underlies from depth 50cm by moraine loam. Agrochemical indices of arable horizon of the trial field: humus content – 1.92-2.18%, pH KCl – 6.2-6.8, P2O5 content – 360-400 mg/kg, K2O – 300-380 mg/kg of soil. Winter triticale was cultivated after four preceding crops – spring rape (Brassica napus), oat (Avena sativa), blue lupine (Lupinus angustifolius), meadow clover (Trifolium pratense L.). As the result of the realized research it was revealed that growing о f this crop after a leguminous preceding crop made it possible to lower the dose of mineral nitrogen by not less than 20 and 40 kg/ha of active substance in comparison with the cruciferous and cereal predecessors respectively, without reducing grain yield. In the cultivation of winter triticale by the method оf direct seeding after a leguminous preceding crop compensating dose of nitrogen, allowing to obtain grain yield at the level of ploughing, averaged 20 kg/ha of active substance over 3 years; after a grain or cruciferous predecessor it was 40 kg/ha of active substance.
