Economical and social impacts of projects of the social fund for development

The Social Fund for Development (SFD) created in 1991 with the aim of provide financial resources for small projects and activities for young graduates through the provision of necessary funding and technical assistance in the context of increasing and expanding private investment, which lead to the generation of appropriate income cover the needs of the owners of these projects.. The study used two types of data: First, secondary data, and the second: field data has been collected by personal interview of the beneficiaries of the projects of the Social Fund for development through a questionnaire applied to the sample selected for the study. The main results indicate that the beneficiaries of new projects won the highest in the total sample which amounted to some 82.5% of the total sample projects, and the percentage of the Fund's contribution to a single source to finance approximately 78.3% in the total sample. Projects also contributed to the beneficiaries of the Social Fund to provide an appropriate range of employment opportunities in villages of different areas of the sample, and in conformity with the objectives of the SFD to load each project a number of workers so as to contribute to the reduction of the phenomenon of unemployment among members of the community in general, and young graduates in particular.
