Evaluation of qualitative and quantitative characteristics of potato Clones obtained from C.V. desired by gamma radiation.

In order to investigation of qualitative and quantitative characters of clones which was chosen based of skin color, flesh color, tuber shape and yield in former design, forty five clone along to for check variety such as Agria, Sante, Red Desirea and white Desirea was planted in the Lattice design format. Number of stem, stem diameter, dry matter, chips color, chips crispy and overall acceptability was measured during conduct design. Combine analysis variance based of Lattice design revealed different between replication was no significant. So, Combine analysis variance based on Random Completely Block Design (RCBD) was carried out on the data. The result of two method was the same just number of clones which were located in the same group for RCBD was more than Lattice design but the order was the same. The result of combine analysis showed there was no significant different among clones for yield, number of stem and stem diameter. In contrast mean comparison revealed there was some different among clones. Dispersal of data around the mean can be cause of this result. Variety and clones of 156,27,120,76,81,77,29,9 Agria,103,23,104,85,92,45,172,185 Desirea, 17 and 4 were better than others for yield. The range of stem number and stem diameter was 3-6,750 and 6,25-9,175 respectively. For overall acceptability and chips color clones 39,4,7,44,45,64,17,186,85,3,76 and 9,44,45,85,47,17,3,9,64,15,23,186 and 80 were better than others and were located in A group respectively. Twenty one clone were more crispy than others. In the case of dry matter clones 82,44,79,12,78,103,17,184,45,3,104,23,16,47,27,120,54 and 85 have partial preference over the Agria. Clones 4,23,27,39,76,77,81,85,120,156,9,17,29,45,92,103,104,172 and 185 were superior over others based of total traits. Also effect of mutation on the skin color was not stable and effect of that on quantitative characters was more than qualitative properties.
