Abstract For evaluation of quality and quantity of 8 superior filbert cultivars, 11 morphological characteristics including vegetative growth, trunk diameter, number of sucker, canopy diameter, leaf length, leaf width, intrenude length, chlorophyll a and chlorophyll b and chlorophyll a/b were studied. The experiment was conducted in a Compeletly Rondomized Blocks Design (RCBD) with three replicates. Analysis of variance indicated that the cultivars were significantly different for all examined traits. Principele Components analysis (PCo) placed the abovementioned 11 traits in seven principle components that covered 80.3 percent of variance. Cluster analysis classified cultivars into 3 main groups and 1 independent cultivar. In Qazvin and Astara conditions "Fertil" cultivar exhibited the best quality and quantity traits comparing other cultivars. This study showed that morphological markers are.
