This study carried out in Azadegan and Ahvaz under farmers fields in 2008. The purposes of this study were to find reasons not applying rotation by the farmers in target regions target. During current decades in spite of increasing usage of technology and due to the simplicity of the systems the usage of crop rotation is not attracted by the farmers as a substitution. At present the scientific crop rotation is not carried out in southern fields of Khouzestan province. In studied regions the dominant annual sequential cropping systems are as wheat/feed legumes, wheat/patch crops, wheat/rice or wheat/summer fallow. Based on the present situation and in order to determine the causes of not applying rotational cropping of the traditional-semi mechanized field management systems in south Khuzestan, studying of socio-economical, technical, cultural, protechtion and extension factors are important. In the first step, the farmers sampled according to the stratified sampling method. In this study socio-economical data were collected by the questionnaire and interview with experts and farmers levels. The results showed that in the region, the age and literacy of the farmers affected the adoption of crop rotation and the impact factors including, water usage limitation, soil texture and salinity, farmers access to the planter and lack of support by the government.
