Sugar beet is one of the two crop that produces sugar in Iran and the world and plays a critical role in industry and economy and because it is one of the most important crop and climate and soil potential for its planting is suitable, in most parts of Iran since years ago, farmers have appropriated part of their lands to cultivation of this plant. Due to land and water limitation, for approaching self-sufficiency in producing sugar, it is necessary to increase the yield and its quality. Thus pests reducing and essential control can be an effective step in enhancing yield and health and quality. The problems and limitations were discussed. Meetings were held with all relevant agencies and individuals concerned the program. Conformity of current research in country was evaluated within the current issues and problems. Also a review was done on all research has done on pests of sugar beet in worldwide, and the applicable methods in the country were identified. Finally, data summarized and classified to identify the most important problems and the most essential research projects for solving them. Based on all required resources and facilities, prioritize projects were including: 1 - Study to determine the ET and EIL and crop loss assessment, 2 _ Investigation on new chemical control methods and equipment and formulations, 3 _ Possibility the use of other control methods , 4 - Ecological and biological studies.
