Study on chickpea international Fusarium wilt nursery in dryland condition

Wilt of chickpea caused by Fusarium oxysporum f.sp. ciceri is one ofthe most imprtant disease of chickpea (Cicer arietinum L.) in many countries. This study was conducted for evaluating 40 lines of chickpea along with susceptible check (ILC 1929) through Iran-ICARDA colleboration at Sararood Station in Kermanshah. The expriment materials were sown in March. Each entry was planted in one row with 2m long, Susceptible check ( ILC 1929) was sown after every two entries as spreader-indicator and inoculated by scattering many wilted plants from other fields as possible, choped them into small pieces, and incorporated uniformly in the surface soil of the plot. During two steps were recorded for Fusarium wilt on a scale of 1 tog, where 1 to 4= resistant, 5= tolerant, and 6 to 9=susceptible. The results of present study showed that 5 lines were highly resistant, 35 lines had infected 5%-10% and infection of Susceptible check was 21%-40%.
