In order to determine high yielding low-oil sesame lines, purelines obtained from segregating populations were evaluated in Karaj, Moghan and Dezful. Important agronomic characteristics such as date of flowering, type of branching, number of capsules per axil, number of capsules per plant , phant height and date of maturity were recorded. Results showed that in Karaj genotype number 36 had highest seed yield with 1497 kg/ha together with an oil percentage of 52% lowest oil yields were documented in lines number 57, 7 and 19 with 1142 , 617 and 462 kg/ha seed yield and 37.88% , 46.12% and 46.36% of oil, respectively. Genotypes number 18 , 20 and 13 were the most productive genotypes in Moghan with 983, 870 and 731 kg/ha of seed yield respectively . In Dezful, most of studied lines were susceptible to the climatic conditions, and presented reduced yield . There fore , only five lines were selected for further studies.
