Interaction of new soybean lines and cultivars to water deficit stress were evaluated in Karaj in 1387 and 1388. Three experiments as base of RCBD were conducted in Karaj province each year. The experiments were irrigated after 50 (control), 100 (mild stress) and 150 mm (sever stress) evaporation from pan, class A. analyse variance of traits showed that drought had significant effects on morphological characteristics and growth of cultivars and lines. Water deficit stress caused to decrease plant height that was due to reducing of node number and internodes distance. Drought stress reduced seed yield. Decreasing of yield was for diminishing of seed number per square area. Seed weight was decreased, too. Harvest index and productivity effort were affected by tress. they were reduced, when stress was occured. It seems that Blackhawk*Grangelb, Williams and L91-8915 were superior than othersin different water deficit conditions. In control condition, Williams*Hobbit, Woodworth*Steel and Linford cv. produced the highest yield among cultivars. L91- 8915 had the highest yield in mild stress condition. L17, Clark and LH2500 had the most yield in sever stress.
