Khalili, Siah Samarghandi, Lorkoosh and Rotabi with a total area of 20000 ha cultivated are common grape cultivars grown in Fars province. In order to finding the correct pruning method for these cultivars, their response against tow levels of pruning severity (light pruning and severe pruning with 40+20 and 20+20 formula) and the number of nodes per bearing unit(three, six, and nine nodes) during three years in Bavanat. Shiraz and Mamassani regions were evaluated. To each cultivar a factorial experiment with randmized complete- block design was used with three blocks. some charactistics such as yield, mean bunch weight, mean berry number/bunch, mean berry weight, total soluble solids (TSS%), bud fruitfulness, pH, titratable acid as tartaric acid were recorded. Results of analysis of variance showed that effect of pruning severity on yield and the number of bunch per vine, in all cultivars except for Loorkosh was significant. Effect of nodes per bearing unit and Intractons between pruning severity with the number of nodes per bearing unit on yield and the number of bunch per vine was significant at 1% probability level. However in Khalili grape maximum of yield was observed in severe pruned to six buds, but maximum of yeild in other three cultivars were abserved in less severe pruned to three buds in Siah Samarghandi, six buds in Rotabi and nine buds in Loorkosh grape cultivar.
