Tabibullah M.
Six eggs, one day after laid out by a pre-selected female beetle were placed in each of 3 big glass jars containing rotten and moist cowdung. The moisture content of the dung media in the jars were maintained with occasional addition and partial removal of the rotten dung. Observations were made from sides of jars and also by careful movement of the contents. It was interesting to note that the larvae after movement throughout the content sometimes used to rest with wall of jars and the pupation of some took place with jar wall with pupal case open partially and the pupa inside with all its morphological changes visible from outside.
