Kserofilna zajednica Convolvulo-Festucetum vallesiacae prov. u okolini Beograda [Jugoslavija].

Ten kilometers away from Belgrade (SFRY) on the area of about 23 km2 on more localities is developed the xerophilous pasture vegetation. The species Festuca vallesiaca has the edificatory role in the community. The community is named Convolvulo-Festucetum vallesiacae because of the importance of the Convolvulus cantabricus species. In this community appears, with maximal degree of presence and numerousness, C. cantabricus as submediterranean flora element adopted to the hot and dry conditions of settlement. The characteristic species in the community are also: Linarea genistifolia and Verbascum lychnitis. The community has a great similarity, ecologic and floristic, with communities of Festucion sulcatae. Taking into account that geologic base is serpentine, the absence of serpentinophytes is probably conditioned by the fact that on investigated localities the pure serpentine base appears only in Osoje locality and on the area of few m2.
