Supplemental irrigation increased the yield of grain by 15 percent and that of straw by 23 percent as compared to nonirrigated triticale. Irrigated triticcale yielded best when supplied with 150 kg N/ha, whereas for the nonirrigated 125 kg N/ha proved to be sufficient. As the result of irrigation increased the grain fraction of more than 2.8 mm diameter. The best developed grain was obtained from irrigated plots fertilized with 100 kg N/ha. Irrigation had no significant influence on the content N, P, Ca, Mg, Na, the only exception noticed was a sharp decrease of Zn level in grain. Nitrogen fertilization caused of total N, nitrates, protein, lipides and fiber both in straw and grain. High doses of nitrogen decreased the level of potassium in grain but increased it in straw.
