The paper provides an analysis of the results obtained by monitoring the fat content by histochemical methods in Musculus deltoideus, Musculus semimembranosus and Musculus longisimus dorsi of 3 months and a year old wild swines. Histochemical analysis of neutral fats in muscle fibres has proved that almost half of the fibres in M. deltoideus of 3 months old individuals had a pronounced reaction, i.e. had a lot of fat drops, whereas the other two muscles had a few of such fibres. With a year old individuals, the biochemical analysis of fats was similar in all the three muscles but was significantly poorer in relation to the fat analysis in M. deltoideus of younger individuals. According to the analysis of membrane fats (phospholipids) it could be concluded that the contents of phospholipids in M. semimembranosus and M.1. dorsi with both age groups were similar but in M. deltoideus of younger individuals significantly higher number of muscle fibres with a lot of phospholipids was established in relation to the same muscle of older individuals as well as in relation to the other two muscles.
