The survey aimed: (1) to assess the effectiveness of MARDI's dissemination of rice technology; (2) to value and to recognize positively the problems and barriers that might arise; (3) to know the problems and barriers faced by the extension agencies and farmers; (4) to gather information on the mechanisms used by extension agencies; (5) to present proposals on ways of overcoming the problems faced by the extension agencies and farmers. The results of the survey are discussed.
