We have carried out a casuistic study of 87 dogs which have been diagnosed with parvovirosis out of 457 necropsied dogs from 1980 until 1984. These were carried out in the Department of Histology and Pathologic Anatomy of the Faculty of Cordoba. In this work we have studied the myocardium injuries and selected them to the age and the course of the disease of the animal. We point out that it is the viral action that stands out in the sudden death cases where the immunity of the dogs plays a fundamental role. The superposition of the bacteriums or of their toxins are equally important as secondary effect in producing a septic or toxic shock in animals with acute course of the disease.
