Test of propiconazole and triadimenol against vascular streak dieback of cacao.
1988
Presto R.S. | Tangonan N.G.
The efficacy of propiconazole and triadimenol against vascular streak dieback (VSD) disease of cacao caused by the fungus Oncobasidium theobromae Talbot and Keanne was tested. Both fungicides were found effective when used as preventive spray even at low rates (e.g., 0.05% ai) and longer interval (e.g., 28 days). When applied as paint, the fungicides can be both curative and preventive. The fungicidal rates used considerably reduced severity of VSD on 5-year-old cacao trees.
