[Idaho WIC aide training program: self-instructional modules]. [English]
1985
Two modules contain the objectives for training clinical assistants under the supervision of a WIC nutritionist. One training module addresses the assessment of nutritional risk factors in WIC participants and provides comprehensive details, guidelines, and examples for trying the various nutritional assessment components (e.g.: anthropometric and biochemical data, dietary recall data, nutritional risk factor data) into a cohesive process known as certification. The other training module addresses biochemical assessment techniques, including iron-deficiency anemia, hematocrit measurement, and evaluation of test results relative to standards. Pre- and post-tests and instructor guidelines are included. (wz).
