The objective was to study social factors associated with agricultural production of the farm families in the women's development program. The programs was carried out by the Foundation for Thailand Rural Reconstruction Movement Under Royal Patronage (TRRM.). The study indicated the following: The non-member and member groups in the program despite differences in ages, were generally similar to one another in certain characteristics. Most women of the member group were older than non-members, but most of the women in both groups had an educational level of Prathomsuksa 4. They were all engaged in agricultural production and had more than 7 years experience in rice cultivation. Married women in the member group had more children than in the non-member group. The number of children who were part of the labour force and who were a family burden was higher in the member group than the non-members. The results of the survey also show that women who attended the training program, receive assistance from the TRRM'S agent, participate in group planning, were members in other village groups. Women members who were married, had children, received information about new methods of agriculture and attained lower agricultural production than women member who did not fulfill those 3 conditions.
