The aim of the work was determination of bean seed resistance to mechanical damage in relation to moisture content. Another studied aspect was whether repeated wetting and drying of the plant mass as well as desiccation could change resistance features of this plant. Two experimental stands were constructed, i.e. for static and dynamic loading of bean seeds. Studies were conducted on three bean varieties that differed considerably in seed size.
