Pengaruh air buangan tekstil terhadap pertumbuhan dan hasil beberapa varietas padi sawah (Oryza sativa Linn.).

Английский. The objective of this research was to determine the effect of water contaminated by textile industrial waste water on the growth of four rice plants varieties and its yield. The experiments was held at the green house of Faculty of Agriculture, Padjadjaran University, Jatinangor, from August 1998 until January 1999. The experiment was arranged in Randomized Block Design with eight treatments and four replications. Two kinds of water (water which was not contaminated by textile industrial waste water and water contaminated by textile industrial waste water) was used to irrigate the four varieties of rice plants. The result of this experiment indicated that: the giving of water contaminated by textile industrial waste water on four varieties of rice plants showed a significant influence on the height of rice plant, the amount of unhulled rice per stalk and the weight of milled dry unhulled rice per pot, but it did not show a significant influence on young plants and the weight of 1000 milled dry unhulled rice. The highest weight of uhulled rice per pot produced by giving contaminated water on the Membramo variety (31.39), mean while the lowest heights produced by giving water contaminant by textile industry waste water on IR 64 variety (17.84 g).

Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan tujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh pemberian air yang tercemar limbah industri tekstil terhadap pertumbuhan dan hasil empat kultivar padi sawah. Percobaan ini dilaksanakan di Rumah Kaca Fakultas Pertanian Unpad, Jatinangor, bulan Agustus 1998 sampai bulan Januari 1999. Rancangan digunakan adalah Rancangan Acak Kelompok yang terdiri atas delapan perlakuan dan diulangan sebanyak empat kali. Dua macam kondisi air (air yang tidak tercemar dan air yang tercemar limbah industri tekstil) digunakan untuk mengairi empat macam kultivar padi sawah. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pemberian air yang tercemar limbah industri tekstil pada empat macam kultivar padi sawah berpengaruh nyata terhadap tinggi tanaman, jumlah gabah per malai dan hasil bobot gabah kering giling, tetapi tidak berpengaruh nyata terhadap jumlah anakan dan bobot 1000 butir gabah kering giling. Hasil gabah per pot tertinggi diperoleh dari perlakuan pemberian air tercemar limbah industri tekstil pada kultivar Membramo (31.3 g), sedangkan hasil terendah diperoleh dari perlakuan pemberian air yang tercemar limbah industri tekstil pada kultivar IR 64 (17.84 g).
