The situation and outlook report on oilseeds shows final data for the year 1997, namely on oilseed production, hectare yields and harvested acreage of the selected oilseed crops. It also gives information on presumed total supply, import, export and total utilization of oilseeds in the marketing year 1997/98. At the same time the report gives the prediction on the development of these indicators in the next marketing year. It contains data on oilseed prices on the domestic and global market and on consumer prices products in Slovakia. The report is based on data provided by the Statistical Office of Slovak Republic, Ministry of Agriculture of Slovak Republic and Customs Statistics, foreign publications and author's own calculations. The report includes data on rapeseeds, sunflowers, poppy seeds, mustard seeds, soybean and other oilseeds (saflower, crambe, gourd for oilseeds) grown in Slovakia.
