Relationship between green pod percentage in soybean pod population at harvesting time and viability of the seed has been studied, using coefficient correlation and linear regression analysis. The result shows that germination speed significantly correlated with green pod percentage, but not significantly correlated with maximum germination, standard germination and seedling vigour. The coefficient correlation value (r) between green pod percentage with speed of germination, maximum germination, standard germination and seedling vigour was 0.95, 0.60, 0.78 and 0.72 respectively. The regression line between green pod percentage and speed of germination was Y=25.87-0.34 X, where Y is speed of germination and X is green percentage.
