Magnitude of sulfur, solely contributed to corn and soybean yields increase in addition to N, P and K nutrients were accounted to 11 and 29 percent respectively. For severe sulfur deficient upland soils in particular, the merit on plant production of sulfur contained in either straight or mixed fertilizer should not be overlooked. Sulfur contained in any straight fertilizer of mixed fertilizer formulation should be considered highly as the fourth nutrient or in other words as an important added-value ingredient in addition to N, P and K in the normal chemical fertilizers of the same grade and equivalent value.
