In a two-way selectional trial, seven generations of chickens belonging to two PRELUX-Bro father lines, classified according to greater (+) or smaller (-) weights at the age of 56 days, were selected. The direct (weight) and correlative effects of the selection (age at maturity, number of eggs layed, egg weight, weight of one-day-old chickens, hatchability) were evaluated. The effects of selection on reciprocal crosses between the + and - lines have also been given.
