Use of pharmaceutic industry wastes as the components of broiler chick diet [pancreas and intestinal mucus meals].

Five hundred broiler type chicks, divided into 5 groups, were fed diets in which a part of corn meal and soybean meal were substituted by different levels of pharmaceutic industry wastes (pancreas and intestinal mucus meals). A positive influence of addition to broiler diets 8-16 percent of pancreas meal on body weight, feed consumption, carcass yield and breast and tibia muscle percentage was stated. The level of intestinal mucus meal in broiler diets should not exceed 8 percent.
