Influence of long-term selection for body weight on reproduction in laboratory mice.

Statistically significant differences in the body weight, number of corpora lutea, number of resorbed embryos, number of live fetuses and, additionally, differences in the weight of testes, epididymis and seminal vesicles have been found between divergently selected lines. Significant differences have been also found in the weight of fetuses and placentae.
