The investigations presented in this work may contribute beneficially to the acquaintance of thermal energy used for the cases of single-phase and two-phase method of drying. The aim of investigation was to prove that two-phase method of drying is more economical and of higher quality than single-phase one. The results obtained have shown that at two-phase method of drying even to 30 per cent of thermal energy have been saved with respect to one-phase method of drying. Essential conclusion is that the work of dryers must be automatized and guided by computer because of large number of influental factors, and especially in order to eliminate the man in so complex technological system as it the drying of seed maize.
