It was experimentally established for silver Arctic foxes that medium feeding (15 % lower than available rates) in July - September and then feeding according to the rates recommended since. October make possible activation of sexual functions in young females. Abundant feeding in summer months results in fatty generation in some animals and lower reproductive capacity: up to 20 % of females don't give offspring at the first year. Refined energetic feeding rates for replacement young Arctic foxes allow to reduce consumption of food by 13-16 %. The investigations conducted confirm advisability of separate feeding of young stock for breed and for slaughter.
