The materials concerning the rearing of Yugoslavian carp and its hybrids with local breeds - Izobelinsky and Lakhvinsky - in the conditions of 2 fish-culture zone of Belarus are presented. The lower survival rate of pure Yugoslavian breed was registered in the first year of rearing as a manifestation of genotype in new environment. The advantage of one year-old crossbreds of Yugoslavian carp (concerning their survival and growth) was revealed as well as of two-year old ones (concerning their growth). These hybrids may be recommended for rearing.
