The cucumbers for preserving were cultivated 5 years on bare ground which was covered with black folia in tunnels and in the open air. They were cultivated 4 years in the open air and bare ground, and in the ground covered with folia of different colours. The next average values were established: plants were germinating for 18 days. From sprouting to blooming they were growing 46 days. The ingathering started 8 days after blooming and lasted 66 days. On tendril of the age of 370 days appeared approximately 2 separate tendrils, 3 main roots, and 66 leaves. The average total yield was 250 dag/m2 or 133 fruits/m2 with the weight of 241 dag/m2. It was analysed the influence of some weather conditions of phenophase apperance, to vegetative development and the yield elements and proved correlations between the characteristics of vegetative and generative development. By the analysis of regretion was showed the influence of weather conditions on growth and development by the analysis of regression. On covered ground the yield was bigger for 30-84 % than on the uncovered ground during all 9 years. During 4 years the yields were the same on differently coloured folias. In tunnels and in covered soil the yield were bigger for 149 %, plants longer for 183%, number of leaves bigger for 165%; main roots for 128% and tendrils for 321% were more on uncovered, open ground.
