High yielding and good secondary characteristics, generally, are factors to be considered in recommending a specific rubber clone. Data on economic analysis of high yielding clone, however, are still limited. This paper presents an economic analysis of clones PR 107, GT 1, and PBIG clonal seedling, planted at rubber estate of PT London Sumatra. The results showed that clone GT 1 for this particular location, seemed to be more profitable compared to the other two planting materials. The pay-back period for GT 1 was reached within 12 years after planting. Its Net Present Value within 15 years, at rubber price of Rp. 850,-/kg and at 12 percent rate of interest, was Rp. 709.688,-. There was a strong quadratic relationship between yield and years of tapping as shown by several clones reported in this analysis. It seems that a quadratic function could be used as a statistical tool in predicting rubber yield for the purpose of economic analysis of a given clone.
