It was studied the structure of the microbial heterotrophic communities from the point of view morphologic and functional; their organic carbon levels, nitrogen, cationic exchange capacity, dampness, temperature, available phosphorus of a clay soil, cultivated field with grass (Brachiaria radicans) fertilized with urea. The results were compared with a site in natural conditions that had not been used for the agriculture. In the cape of 0-19 cm, the organic carbon continued the cultivated trend > not cultivated and the nitrogen, cationic exchange capacity, dampness, bacteria, microorganisms degrading starch, microorganisms degrading protein and the biological showed a similar trend to the organic carbon. The available phosphorus content, microorganisms degrading cellulose and the mineralizer of organic phosphorus continued the not cultivated trend > cultivated. Fungi showed the trend = not cultivated. The form of bacterial prevailing is the cane gram + and in fungi Aspergillus sp and Penicillium sp. were analyzed the functional relations of the fungi conmmunity and bacteria in function of the space and was concluded than they are functionally equivalent.
