The study brings the results of investigation the genopotential of some lucerne cultivars with different genetic origin according to some important quantitative characteristics as for instance: yield of dry mass, share and yield of raw proteins. 10 lucerne cultivars are investigated: NS backa ZMS I, NS banat ZMS II, NS vrsac ZMS IV, NS MEDIANA ZMS V from Yugoslav origine, elga from France, aragon, adamov, alcoroche, adyta and adolfa from Spain. The conclusion is: among the investigated lucerne there are significant differences between yields of dry mass and content and yield of raw proteins. Among the most productive are the Yugoslav cultivars: NS mediana ZMS V and NS backa ZMS I. Among foreign cultivars the Spanish cultivars adyta and alcoroche give the good yields of dry mass. Similar of them is French cultivar elga. According to raw protein share it can be attain good results, above all, by raising the high productive cultivars and using lucerne in right time.
