Field experiments carried out for two successive seasons indicated that hand hoeing treatment was superior to all chemical treatments regardless to number of irrigations or rate of phosphate fertilizer. Terbutryn (1. 25 kg. /feddan) and topogard (1.50 kg/ feddan) gave also good results and better control of borad leaved weeds compared to nendimethalin (1. 7L/ feddan). The yield of faba bean was significantly affected by the factors under investigation. The highest yield was obtained by the hand hoeing treament followed by terbutryn and topogard. The interaction between number of irrigations and methods of weed control was significant and indicated that increasing the times of irrigations the efficiency of herbicides applied. The interaction between rate of phosphate fertilizer and weed control methods was also significant and indicated that increasing the rate of p and a significant effect on incressing the susceptibility of weeds to herbicides and subsequently increasing the yield of faba bean (seeds, straw and protein content ).
