The geographical situation and climatic conditions of Hungary can support a high-level, diversified agricultural production. The ownership and organizational forms developed during the past four decades were not flexible enough for the exploitation of possibilities. The majority (about two-third) of the working people of the co-operatives and rural population, insists on the solution within the co-operative, while the private or association undertaking seems to be a fearful, unknown possibility. The connection and advantage of large-scale farms and household farms show a very strong innovation among the majority of the rural population. The leading persons of the pre-war domestic agricultural medium-sized undertakings and the majority of big landowners have either died, or become too old, and the number of the younger venture some individuals (originating from the age-class of 25-40 years) does not exceed 6-8 o/o. By the transformation of proprietorship, the small- and medium-sized undertakings have already been appearing, the promotion of which depends upon the accessibility of the land and land-capital.
